SKINCARE:

1. African Botanics Pure Marula Oil

For all skin types looking for free radical protection while enhancing brightness and suppleness to the skin. The brand itself focuses on certified organic botanicals sourced from Africa. African Botanics also implements sustainable and eco-friendly practices to create this super luxe and effective blend of Marula Oil.

How to: Apply a pea size amount on clean skin and follow with moisturiser for added hydration.

2. Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads

A chemical exfoliant and facial tanner all in one, this AHA and BHA solution soaked pad gives you a super natural looking tan. Each pad contains acids to eat away the dead skin cells while infusing the skin with vitamin D and brighteners to give you the perfect sunless tan throughout winter.

How to: Apply to clean dry skin and leave overnight. For a lighter tan apply moisturiser after applying the pad to the face.

3. Perricone MD Vitamin C Ester

At a concentration of 15% Vitamin C, Perricone’s Ester is a must have for pigmentation sufferers. I have found daily use of this product also improves the overall texture of the skin with its free radical protection.

How to: Apply on areas of concern and then follow with serum and moisturiser. Wake up the next day and see the pigmentation diminish.

4. Eve Lom Cleanser

An eye makeup remover, cleanser, toner, exfoliant and hydrator all in one this cleanser is a serious cult product! Never have I used something that removes my makeup so effectively without making my skin feel tight and dry after. This cleanser is also incredible for those that love to incorporate a facial massage for lymphatic draining and added toning for the skin.

How to: Apply on top of makeup to a dry face, soak the muslin cloth provided and press over the face and then wipe away the day. Follow with serum and moisturiser.

5. Chantecaille Vital Essence Serum

All my colleagues and friends know just how obsessed I am with this serum and this brand. Chantecaille (pronounced -shon-ta-kai) are a natural brand that use botanicals that are scientifically proven to improve and change the state of your skin. Vital Essence is the perfect blend of vitamin C and hydration in a serum and is perfect for those experiencing the early signs of ageing (20s).

How to: Apply two pumps onto fingers and then tap in to clean dry skin. Follow with moisturiser.

MAKEUP:

1. Hourglass Ambient Powder in ‘Dim Light’

The only powders I will use in a makeup application, the 6 powder Ambient collection are unlike any other powders. Hourglass have used a technology called ‘photo-luminescent’ technology to bring different lighting effects to the skin when applying these powders. It is said that in the Hourglass studios there are different coloured lights that are shone on the skin to determine the most flattering light for that individual and then they are matched to that light’s corresponding powder. My favourite, and the most universal powder, is ‘Dim Light’. Watch it as it diminishes pores, blurs imperfections and gift the skin a soft glow, all while it absorbs excess oil and sets the makeup.

How to: Using the Hourglass Ambient Powder Brush apply a light layer to the t-zone to set the makeup. Alternatively, I like to used this powder all over freshly moisturised skin for a no makeup look.

2. Nars Dual Intensity Blush in ‘Fervor’

Nars are renowned for their blush collection and the Dual Intensity Blush collection are an added bonus. The two toned blushes are used to contrast each other. These iridescent shades add a soft glow and can be used wet or dry. Used wet the blushes give a soft watercolour effect to the skin and when used dry the colours come off more vibrant.

How to: Apply the deeper shade to the underside of the cheekbone and blend up. Then apply the peach tone to the apples of the cheeks for a bright wind-bitten glow,

3. Rodin Olio Lusso Lipstick in ‘Tough Tomato’

Infused with a blend of Neroli and Jasmine Essential Oils, these are the most deliciously smooth long wearing lipsticks. My favourite colour of the 5 is the bright orange called ‘Tough Tomato’ which reminds me of the heat of summer and pairs perfectly with a softly diffused gold eye makeup look.

How to: Apply a layer of the lipstick over Rodin’s Lip Balm for an opaque and intense lip look. Reapply after eating or drinking.

4. RMS “Un” Cover up

Who doesn’t love the certified organic brand Rms? Created by legendary makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift, the brand prides itself on being vegan, paraben free, fragrance free etc and uses pure coconut oil at the base of all Rms products. The texture of this concealer is so creamy and has a luminous finish to give the skin a dewy glow. Tip: this product can double as a light coverage luminous foundation when mixed in with a facial oil and applied with a buffing brush.

How to: To use as a concealer, apply product underneath eyes or on areas of redness and blend with fingers. To use as a foundation; decant the ‘un’ cover up onto the hand, mix a drop of oil (less oil to concealer ratio if you want to have more coverage) and apply to the centre of the face working outwards using the Rms Skin2skin Foundation Brush.

5. Kevyn Aucoin Precision Brow Pencil

Now available in four shades this is the hardest and most precise brow pencil on the market. In my opinion this is the perfect product for sparse brows who want to draw in individual hairs as this product perfectly mimics that feather brow effect. Tip: the harder you press with the product the more intense the line.

How to: To create a naturally defined effect use short strokes to fill in sparse areas. To soften the brow brush the brows upwards using the spooly on the end.
